Cheaha State Park is only 30 minutes away from several historic downtowns: Oxford, Heflin, Anniston, Talladega, Lineville, Munford, and Ashland.
Campers will discover the highest point in Alabama as they climb the slope to the CCC tower. Trails galore criss cross the mountain in both gentle and steep slopes. Creeks abound, outcroppings, ancient trees and plenty of bird song and creatures such as salamanders to discover. Cheaha State Park is the southernmost point on the Appalachian Mountain chain.
