The Hays Nature Preserve features over 10 miles of trails and greenways that follow the Flint River and its associated oxbow lakes through low wetland habitat and old fields. Campers have plenty of room to explore and many discoveries to make. We will hike, fish, search for mudbugs, salamanders, millipedes and much more. Led by Dr. Dana Indihar, a microbiologist and naturalist. This natural area is even an important part of the North Alabama Birding Trail.
