Campers will explore the Homewood Forest Preserve with the trailhead just steps away from the school's campus. The Preserve opens to trails with 66 acres of old growth trees. A creek runs through -- a place where Homewood's most famous creatures live - the spotted salamanders. Campers will hike in the woods, hunt for worms and millipedes, play in the creek and perform science experiments in a screen-free hands-on biology experience.
